What is Pilates?
Firstly, thank you for taking an interest in Winchester Pilates, and well done for starting your journey. Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on strengthening the core, improving posture, and enhancing flexibility and balance. It emphasises controlled movements, proper alignment, and mindful breathing to build strength and body awareness. Suitable for all fitness levels, Pilates can be practiced on a mat, or with specialised equipment, such as the Reformer, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Chair, Core Align and Spring Board.
